The BSCA National and Yorkshire Regional Roller Championships 2012/13 were held at Richard Dunn Sports Centre in Bradford. Organised at short notice due to the unfortunate previous cancellation of the event due to low numbers, East Bradford CC and Ilkley CC pooled their competition rollers and volunteer resources and held a very succesful event for 44 competitors from around the country.
Many thanks to all those who helped make this event a great success and thanks to staff at the Richard Dunn Sports Centre for all their support.
The results are now on the results page and pictures of the event can be found at the link below:

Welsh Schools Circuit Race Championship
2013
Dear
All,
Please
find below a little additional information with regard to the Welsh Schools
Circuit Race Championship 2013.
This
year the event is taking place at Llandow
Race Circuit, in the Vale of Glamorgan, on Sunday 28th April
2013. Racing starts at 12:00pm with
the Under 7 age group. There is also adult racing taking place from 9:30am.
Signing
on for the championship will be open from 11:00am
closing 15mins before the start of each age group. Further details will be
circulated once entries have closed.
There
is a café on site which will hopefully be open on the day. It is always a good
idea however to bring some drinks and food of your own, just in case!
It’s
worth wearing plenty of layers as it is often very chilly at Llandow but, if we
are lucky and it is sunny, you can always take a layer off. Might be a good
idea to bring suncream as well just in case J
There
will be medals and certificates for all competitors as well as trophies for the
male and female champion in each age group. Don’t forget you can also enter as
school teams within each age category and gender. (Teams must consist of 2
girls or 3 boys from the same school)
Just
a quick reminder, gear restrictions are:-
5.10 metres for Under 7′s School year 2 and below
5.40
metres for Under 9′s School
years 3 & 4
6.05
metres for the Under 11′s School
years 5 & 6
6.45

6.93
metres for the Under 15′s. School
years 9 & 10
7.93
metres for the Over 15′s School years 11, 12 & 13
This
year we are also pleased to advise we are aiming to raise a little money for
the Marie Curie Cancer Care Hospice and day centre in Penarth. If you are
interested in helping to raise funds for the centre, a sponsorship form is also
attached.
Hopefully
this information is helpful, especially for any who have not ridden a schools
championship before. However, if you
have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
So
get those entry forms in, download the sponsorship form (only if you wish to),
and see you on 28th!!!!
Good
luck and happy cycling
