2014/2015 Dates

New dates are currently being looked into for this year. There will be a Hill Climb for all ages sorted our hopefully before Christmas as we couldn't use Oakbank this year. It is already booked for September 2015 though.

Here are the results from the event on the 28th June 2014. Many thanks to all the volunteers and to Roundhay park staff for making the event such a success.

BSCA National and Yorkshire regional Grass track Competition

Last few days to enter this competition to be held on the 28th June 2014 in Leeds.

The West Riding track league is again hosting the British Schools Cycling Association National Grass Track Competition for school children with separate events for Under 7,8,11,13,15 and over 15 age, boys and girls. It is a great event to be held on Saturday 28th June 2014 here at Roundhay Park, the week before Le Tour De France. There are medals for the top three girls and top three boys in each age category with national titles to the winners.

It is in the form of an omnium competition with three scoring events to decide the winner.

Kids born on or before the 31st August 2000 are on fixed wheel bikes, born on the 1st Spetember 2000 and later, are on freewheel bikes so slightly different from track league.

The event is pre-entry only and you will need to fill in the entry form and return it to Mandy or at signing on by the closing date or bring it to track league on Monday 16th June. Ring me if you have any problems. The number is on the form or e-mail me to : mandyparker2@ntlworld.com

The Yorkshire Regional MTB is on the 25th May at Penistone Hill, Howarth. Drop handlebar bikes are not permitted as this is a MTB race.

The National and Yorkshire Regional Grass track is on Saturday 28th June 2014 at Roundhay Park in Leeds.This is a pre-book event only and the closing date will be the 14th June.Please note Under and Over 15's use track bikes but Under 13 and younger use freewheel bikes and gear restrictions apply throughout.

Mountain Bike Competition

The Yorkshire MTB competition is this Sunday 25th May at Penistone Hill Country Park near Howarth.

We need volunteers to help marshal the event and to help with signing on, particularly for the older races so if you can help, we would really appreciate it as without more help, these events won't run. They are all run by volunteers for the benefit of the children so the more helpers, the easier it is for those who put the events on.

Attached are the list of pre-entries, if you have entered but don't see your name, please let Mandy know. You can enter on the day but signing on closes 30 minutes before each race.

Also attached is the information leaflet.

Again Howarth West End Cricket Club are providing the best hot and cold food and drinks as well as buns etc. for which we are very grateful so please support them because I will!.

BSCA Yorkshire Regional Championships 2013-2014

Last Saturday saw another successful Roller Championship with lots of exciting races from all the riders.

Many thanks to all the volunteers who helped on the day, we can't run it without all your help.

Has anyone picked up my silver toolkit by accident from the BSCA comp today. It is a plastic kit in an A4 size box. It was a present and I need it urgently for coaching. Please let me know if you have seen it.

BSCA Time Trial u15 and o15

This event is a 10 mile Time Trial on the course number V212 (the A168 south of Boroughbridge). The event is included with the open TT on Tueasday 13 May 2014 at 7pm. See CTT website for entry details. Entries close 29 April.  (£5 entry for BSCA TT)

Saturday 12th April 2014  BSCA Yorkshire Roller Competition at Richard Dunn Sport Centre.

BSCA Rollers Entry Form

The Tour De France Grand Depart Trophy will be at the event between 9am and 10am. This is a unique once in a lifetime opportunity to get close to the trophy that will be awarded to the winner of the Grand Depart in Yorkshire.

You are welcome between 9 and 9.30 even if you aren't racing.

BSCA YORKSHIRE CIRCUIT RACE

This will be held on the 10th May 2014 at Richard Dunn. More details later this week.

BSCA YORKSHIRE MTB CHAMPS

These are to be held at Penistone Hill near Howarth again, on the 25th May 2014.
